I recall a FIU poll, the latest on in 2004, where it showed that the majority of Cuban-Americans polled favored a military option towards Cuba. This is in contrast to many Americans who believe that a diplomatic solution should be pursued to Cuba, and also to Iran for example.

Anyway, the article mentions Andy Gomez, who's opinions should be taken lightly because his interpretations are so ridiculous at times.

He wrote a paper for in 2004 for UM's cuba study program, and basically gives contradictory and arbitrary perspectives about recent Cuban immigrants. He basically believes that almost everything that comes from Cubans mouths are Marxist-Leninist indoctrinations.

That's like saying that everything we say is influenced by the party lines of Democrats and Republicans. And, this is false.

In Gomez's paper, more than 80% of his Cuban subjects said that Cuban health care is good or average, and more than 90% said that they wouldn't change it.

But, to Gomez, this is all the result of indoctrination. God forbid that they are actually being honest.

But, Gomez contradicts himself when he finds that his Cuban subjects respond in individualistic terms, which Gomez then believes THIS answer is honest.

Gomez is so biased.Mambi_Watchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05549064503082026848noreply@blogger.com
