The big bad US of A tried to get rid of Fidel.
The CIA (GASP!) had “relationships” with some bad guys … some mobsters .
Golly Gee!
Sounds like these mobsters were more patriotic than all the crybabies that, in myopic and selective hindsight, view the plot to kill Fidel as some sort of national calamity.
Waaaa….
Couldda, Wouldda, Shouldda, …. But they were too wrapped up in moral relativism to do the right thing.
Had they done the right and rid the world of the scourge that is Castro, countless of lives would have been saved in Latin America, Africa, Asia and anywhere else that Castro tried to infect with his virulent and deadly totalitarian disease- not to mention the destruction of a country and its citizens.
It was easier to try to isolate the virus so that only those in the quarantined island would suffer the deadly ravages of Castro’s fatality than to have some countries the likes of Russia and China point fingers, bang shoes and call us hypocrites.

Crying over the fact that somebody in the US actually had the clarity to try to do the right thing rather than crying because of the plot’s failure and the countless lives that were lost or destroyed because of a single solitary maniac.

That said, the single most significant factor that should forever put to rest this absurd question is one that always get ignored by Castro’s sympathizers: If Fidel Castro would have had his way in October 1962, Cuba would literally cease to exist. The fact is that Fidel actually recommended to Soviet General Secretary Nikita Khrushchev that Cuba and the USSR together launch an all-out nuclear attack upon the United States during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and even urged Khrushchev to do so if U.S. troops invaded the island.
This is no secret. Castro has openly admitted it many times. Robert McNamara, President John F. Kennedy’s secretary of defense during the Cuban Missile Crisis, was taken aback by Castro’s candor when the two men discussed the incident years later. Fidel told him flatly, “Bob, I did recommend they (the nuclear missiles) were to be used.”

The US has always needed a manageable boogie man to scare up taxes.
We didn't back Birgade 2506 at the Bay of Pigs and it has come back to bite us every year since.
Oh, one more thing, after the CIA's release of all the documents yesterday has anyone in the MSM bothered to ask the DSGE to do the same with all the people they've killed, etc. over the years? Oh yeah, I forgot, it's only wrong to kill people and what not if we're the ones doing it.
