The underground cinema in Cuba is simply great. But Cannes gives prizes and accolades to Fat Boy "Free Band Aid" Moore, and Hollywood adores che.
Oh wel.....
They're so cool, such rebels..hehehe...did you see they're making a movie about Cuban revolutionary William Morgan?
Wait till Havana becomes the new indie-film capital of America...
Havana is the indie-film capital of America already, Gusano, the only thing is that Robert Redford will not show anything that hurts kasstro at his Sundance festival.... but.... hey, someday his monopoly will end, and boom! Cuban indie movies will be shown all over, raising awareness to the plight of the Cuban people. The one that you had the other day here, Croqueta de Ave, was just amazing!
I hope tha somewhere near Havana there's a good spot to build movie and recording studios compound to attract high profile capital to the island once these thugs are gone. Seems that with the talent and innovations in these ereas that it would be a natural fit.
